Apple Pudding

Let's start on a sweet note........

Who doesn't like an apple pudding (well maybe some don't, but let's not go there!!!) The combination of apples cooked in brown sugar with a dash of cinnamon is simply sinful. Add to that, soft custard and yumm...Without much ado, let's delve into the recipe!!

Ingredients :

Apples - 3
Brown Sugar - 1/2 cup

Water - 1/4 cup
Milk - 1 & 1/4 cups
Custard Powder - 3 tbsps
Butter - 2 tbsps
Cinnamon powder - a pinch

Method :

1. Heat a pan and add peeled and diced apples, 1/4 cup sugar and water.

2. Slightly increase the flame and cook for about 5 minutes till apples turn soft and squishy.

3. In a bowl, gradually add 1/4 cup milk to custard powder and mix well.

4. Heat the remaining milk and sugar in a saucepan. When it comes to boil, add the custard and milk mix and stir till mixture thickens, stir continuously to avoid lumps.

5. Transfer to a serving dish. Blend in the softened apples. Allow to cool.

6. Serve in dessert bowls, garnished with almonds or other sliced nuts. Best served chilled.
